Premarket Buys Maklare AI for Real Estate Demand Platform

NEW YORK, June 25 — Premarket, the agent-only platform that centralises private real estate listings across brokerages into a single searchable network, has acquired Maklare AI, a New York-based artificial intelligence company focused on structuring demand-side data in residential real estate. As part of the transaction, Maklare AI co-founder and CEO Oliver Wenner joins Premarket as chief operating officer. The deal announced today is Premarket’s move to build what it calls residential real estate’s first demand intelligence platform.

Under the hood, that means taking the AI capabilities Maklare developed for parsing buyer and renter intent — the signals that indicate what people actually want, rather than what is listed for sale — and wiring them directly into Premarket’s existing supply-side network. The technical reality is that residential real estate has long been lopsided.

Multiple listing services and private-exclusive networks have done a decent job of tracking what is for sale. The demand side — who is looking, for what, at what price, and with what urgency — has remained largely unstructured data scattered across agent CRM systems, showing notes, and phone conversations. Maklare AI’s specialty is pulling structure out of that noise.

Premarket’s platform already serves as a central hub for private listings — properties that never hit the public-facing multiple listing services and are shared only among agents. By layering Maklare’s demand intelligence on top, the combined system can, in theory, match buyer intent to off-market inventory before either side would normally surface.

The detail that matters here is that the matching happens within the agent-only ecosystem, not on a consumer-facing portal. Oliver Wenner, co-founder and CEO of Maklare AI, becomes Premarket’s chief operating officer as part of the acquisition. His remit will include integrating the AI capabilities that accelerate Premarket’s intelligence — a phrase from the announcement that suggests the company sees this as a speed play as much as a data play.

Wenner brings a background in structuring the sort of demand-side data that most real estate technology has historically ignored in favour of listing feeds and pricing algorithms. Premarket, for its part, has positioned itself as the agent-only alternative to the public-listing model. The company’s network aggregates private listings across brokerages into a single searchable database that only licensed agents can access.

The acquisition of Maklare AI extends that logic from the supply side — what is available — to the demand side: who is looking, and for what. The timing is worth noting.

Residential real estate markets have seen a persistent gap between what buyers want and what is publicly listed, a gap that off-market and private-exclusive listings have grown to fill. Premarket’s bet is that the next efficiency gain comes not from listing more properties, but from understanding buyer intent with enough precision to surface the right match before either party has to advertise broadly. As ever with AI acquisitions in real estate, the proof will be in the integration.

Premarket has the network and the agent-only distribution; Maklare has the demand-side data model. Wenner’s move to COO suggests the company wants the technical and operational sides fused from the start, not handled as separate workstreams.

What to watch next: how Premarket rolls out demand intelligence features to its agent network, and whether the platform can maintain its agent-only positioning while adding AI capabilities that inevitably raise questions about data use and buyer privacy. For now, the acquisition gives Premarket a claim it did not have before: a platform that sees both sides of the transaction, not just the listings.
