TEHRAN, August 20 — Sabio, a company specializing in programmatic advertising and political advocacy, reported its second-quarter 2026 financial results on Tuesday. The firm posted consolidated gross revenues of $9.7 million, marking a 6% year-over-year increase in core business revenues, excluding political and advocacy spending. This growth comes as the company’s gross margin expanded to 61%, up 8 percentage points from the previous quarter, though this improvement reflects higher-margin political and advocacy spending included in the second half of the year.

Adjusted EBITDA losses narrowed to $2.7 million in Q2, down from $3.4 million in Q1. The improved Adjusted EBITDA margin of 14 percentage points positions Sabio for potential profitability in the second half of 2026.

The shift in margins highlights changes in spending priorities, with political and advocacy commitments now accounting for over $5 million of the company’s total revenue.

U.S. Programmatic Growth Outpaces Expectations

U.S. Programmatic revenue surged to $2.9 million in Q2, a 116% year-over-year increase from $0.8 million in the same period last year. This growth was driven by a 90% renewal rate among existing customers, with 116% more customers overall. Of these, 92% of U.S. revenue is recurring, underscoring the stability of the company’s core advertising business.

The U.S. Programmatic segment now represents a significant portion of Sabio’s operations, though it remains below its EMEA footprint. EMEA sales for the first half of 2026 matched the company’s full-year 2025 performance at $5.0 million.

Combined, U.S. Programmatic and EMEA revenues accounted for 49% of Q2 gross sales, a sharp rise from 10% in 2025. This expansion suggests Sabio is diversifying its market presence. The company’s global new customer logos increased 77% year-over-year, with 35% of Q2 customer acquisitions coming from new logos.

Despite the positive revenue trends, Sabio’s financial health remains precarious. The company’s $5 million in political and advocacy commitments continues to weigh on its balance sheet.

These expenditures, while contributing to revenue growth, also highlight the company’s reliance on a sector that often operates in a volatile regulatory environment. Analysts caution that fluctuations in political spending could impact future earnings, even as the core business shows signs of improvement. A key driver of Sabio’s growth appears to be its ability to retain customers in the U.S. market.

With 90% of U.S. customers renewing their contracts from Q1 to Q2, the company has demonstrated resilience in a competitive landscape. However, the 116% customer increase also indicates aggressive expansion efforts, which may come with risks. The company has not disclosed specific strategies for sustaining this growth beyond 2026, leaving questions about long-term scalability.

Looking ahead, Sabio’s path to profitability hinges on balancing its political and advocacy commitments with its core advertising business. The 8 percentage-point margin improvement in Q2 suggests progress, but the $2.7 million adjusted EBITDA loss remains a significant hurdle.

Investors and stakeholders will likely monitor how the company allocates resources in the coming months, particularly as political cycles evolve. For now, the financial results offer a mixed but cautiously optimistic snapshot of a company navigating complex and high-stakes markets.
