Wall Street’s Top Metrics for Apple’s Q4 Report
Apple reports Q4 earnings after the bell today, with investors scrutinizing the headline numbers that define the quarter’s performance. The consensus estimate places earnings per share at $2 on revenue of $113.46 billion. Last year’s comparable period delivered $1.85 EPS and $102.46 billion in revenue, setting the baseline for growth expectations.
According to Bloomberg analyst consensus estimates.
iPhone sales are projected to reach $56.48 billion, a 15 percent increase year over year. This segment remains the primary barometer for Apple’s hardware health, and the uptick signals sustained demand ahead of the iPhone 18 Pro launch. Services, the company’s second-largest segment, is set to top $31.58 billion in revenue. The Mac business is expected to contribute $9.69 billion, while Wearables should generate $8.99 billion and iPad $6.83 billion.
Shares of the iPhone maker are up roughly 30 percent over the past 12 months, outperforming peers Amazon, Google, and Nvidia, which have seen single-digit or flat gains. Over the last month, Apple has held its ground while Google, Meta, and Nvidia suffered double-digit declines. Apple’s relative stability has made its stock a safe haven amid broader tech sector volatility.
This will also be Apple’s first earnings call with new CEO John Ternus, who took over the role from Tim Cook on Sept. 1. Ternus’ tenure began amid a wave of new product launches, including the iPhone 18 Pros, upgraded AirPods, and the Apple HomeView smart home hub. His focus on product continuity rather than organizational overhaul has been noted by board and staff alike.
The figure that matters most this quarter is the $56.48 billion iPhone projection. It represents the segment’s year-over-year trajectory and will be the primary data point investors use to assess whether the iPhone 18 cycle is gaining momentum.
