Introducing the Temporal Works Series A \u201cRambler\u201d

MANILA, July 1 — Temporal Works, the brand from Armoury founder Mark Cho and creative director Elliot Hammer, has unveiled the next watch in their Series A collection. Called the Rambler, it arrives about six months after the brand’s first release at the end of last year. Cho described the original Series A as something that should be as straightforward and effortlessly elegant as a well-tailored navy blazer.

The new Rambler takes a similar approach but with a more rugged perspective, the brand says. For communities across the region who appreciate practical design, the Rambler brings a tool-watch sensibility.

The case has been finished with a bead blasting process and forgoes the polishing of the original Series A, making it immediately more of a casual, toned-down piece. Matte dials come in two colourways: “Black Sesame” and “Red Bean.” The brand says these feel both classic and earthy. Handset designs are borrowed from historic pilot watches, and the tasteful sector dial carries the brand’s logo at the 4:00 position with no additional text.

The straps match the casual feel. The black dial pairs with an olive canvas strap, while the red dial comes on gray Alcantara.

What it means for people looking at a daily wear piece: the Series A Rambler is sized at 37mm in diameter and 45mm from lug to lug. It is 10mm thick, thanks in part to the use of a Sellita SW210 movement with around 42 hours of power reserve. Water resistance is rated at 50 metres.

Closer to home, for watch enthusiasts across Asia who value understated design, the Rambler offers a more approachable alternative to flashier timepieces. The earthy colour names and canvas strap options feel grounded, not fussy. The Rambler is a slight tweak on the simple idea that defined the Series A in the first place.

For families and collectors watching the brand’s evolution, this release signals where Temporal Works might head next — keeping things straightforward, but with a harder edge.
